Wargod - house build pics....
Evening/morning all,
Dunno if anyone is interested but we've been keeping a bit of a photo journal on the house build. From scraping the land to getting the sticks and roof on!

More pics to follow as apparently, well acording to the wife, the bricks have been finished too. 6 weeks to go!

Wow.. Great house! If you don't mind me asking.... who was the builder you used and what size was the block of land.
Hope all goes well with the remaining build!

The builder is McCarthy homes (http://www.mccarthyhomes.com.au/) and the block is a 700sqm (35m long by 20m wide)

Didn't you initially go with a builder than went bust?

I'm glad you got it sorted in the end. We built with Metricon and it was a hellish experience.
We seriously considered Metricon, but they pissed me off (to be frank) with their build times - something well in excess of 12 months as I recall.
All builders have their quirks, touch wood nothing too untoward so far with our build, had some fun and games prior to the build commencing eventually sorted out, but it is like pushing treacle up hill getting people to commit to things and explaining things in simple terms. Hey ho - such is life!

Blimey, it doesn't seem long ago enough for you to have moved on so quick (don't think that makes sense but.......) Looking fab. Things obviously happen for a reason.

What a fabulous house. Hope our dreams come true and we get the chance to do a build, just like yours! It would be our dream to buy a plot of land and build. Fingers crossed. Keep adding the pictures. Would love to see the finished thing.
