We're going to leave the little one's as it's just pine but my older daughter's wardrobe is a pink princess wardobe (as she calls it). It's her pride and joy and I suspect we'd have a job on our hands not taking it

Thats a personal item, and will probably help her settle in her new home, so it is priceless. But most things it is just a waste of money.I see it so many times over here, their furniture does not look right, but they hang on to it because of the expense of bringing it.

Hi Cranni

We are bringing most of our stuff because we think it will be less expensive than replacing it all( as much as I would love too!!) Just being a tight arse really!!

It is a personal thing, and your choice, but i do see so many that bring their furniture, buy a new house, or build, and it does not look right, they keep it because it cost so much.My friend in NZ brought hers, 2 years later she is wanting new, but thinks of the expense, and it drives her mad to look at it. Realy i just tell you as advice, from the experience i have as emigrating, good luck , Denise
