Default Want to live in NZ!!

This probably won't happen for awhile, but I'm an American with a British fiancee and we are looking for ways to maybe live in NZ for at least a year once we are married (he is applying for his US Residency after wedding, but we don't want to live in England or America forever!).I knwo he can get a work permit, but does anyone know of ways American can work and live in NZ? I've looked into it and it looks pretty impossible, but I thought maybe I'd ask here and see if anyone knew of any loopholes or ways. We loved NZ when we visited and already lived and worked in Australia (that's where we met),so we can't do that again. Any help would be appreciated...

Thanks/

Other than a work visa, if your UK fiancé is 30 or under he could get a NZ working holiday visa for 12 months.

Otherwise you're looking at PR - check out the points system on www.immigration.govt.nz (migrate).

Why exactly can't you get another work permit for Australia?

I think the original poster was referring to an Australian WHV, which is restricted to one such visa per applicant per life time.
