Want to get my motorbike to Qld!
Hi
I am moving to Brisbane, arriving June 04, and have just began investigating the costs of moving - including my Ducati motorbike (worth £2000UK).
The best quote so far is £500 to ship bike port to port PLUS £200 Customs cost PLUS any other costs at Brisbane. Phew! Seems a lot!! And I haven't even looked at the approval in OZ issue.
Hopefully you are reading this because you have or are considering shipping a motorbike to OZ. Have you any information you can help me to decide;
(a) I can ship it using a cheaper method than above....
or
(b) sell it in the UK and grit my teeth!
