Default Waiting and waiting and waiting

Hi All,

Has anyone been in the same boat? Via lodged 19 March 2004 - passed TRA and accepted for Victoria Australia, medicals and police checks in August 2004. All through visa agent - they have been telling us since November 2004 that we will hear soon..... We have put our house on the market and have accepted an offer - 10 weeks before we are moving to....?????? Well, you can see Medicals and Police in August 2004 - these are only valid for 1 year or am I very much mistaken??? We do not want to sit on a house if we get the visa just before August 2005!!!!!!!! It is too much for us at the moment - desperado and angry and sad and desperado again. It is out of our control and we wonder if anyone is in the same time warp.

Welcome to the forum, have you checked out the "Austimeline" site? It might help you out with current processing times. Regarding house selling, for us it was worse than the visa wait, so get it sold if you can and go into rented accomodation.

Is it because your application was in pre-july, if so then there was/is a backlog due to a change in the visa process. Hope it comes soon.

Thank you for your information I will check out the website and thanks to let us know that we are not alone in this batch of applications. Thanks also for telling us that we have made the right decision selling the house now - it is a very strange set up in UK - anything can happen until the sale is completed...so, fingers crossed.
You have both but our minds at ease!
