Anyone still waiting for independent skill visa from before Nov 2000? Just trying to get an idea of how long the wait will go on.

Applied for PR visa with a job in the MODL list (nurse) in Oct 2000 at that time
processing time was stated at 9 months.

We had a letter back saying the application was lodged late Oct 2000.

We had a request for medicals and returned them within a week of being asked
July 2001.

Obtained police checks and sent them off mid Aug 2001 before they were requested.

STILL WAITING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've heard that Team one are just about to finish Independant Skills submitted before and during Oct 2000.

Sounds as if you may be close having submitted in Nov 2000, I only submitted in June 2001. All our best wishes to those working in Skilled Team one. Go Team One!!!!

We applied Oct 4 01 ( Skilled Aus Sponsored). We Sent out Passports to the Embassy
this week (Fingers Crossed).

We will let you know when we get them back.

Hi Gday did you mean 4 Oct 2000 or is skilled migration that quick, when were you called for your medicals we have heard nothing so far.

Got the medicals etc at the end of January 01 on our own initiative.
