waiting time
I'm waiting for prospective marriage (fiance') visa to be issued anybody know how long its taking at present

Hi John,
If you check out Tipton Wolfs thread on the immigration forum you'll see he had his spouse visa processed in 4 days last week, so seems as if they're worked fairly quickly at the moment.

Depends....
If it's straightforward, you should hear back within days. If not - for example, if there are any medical problems, police check issues etc etc - bump that up to a few weeks. If DIMIA ask for more information, you might be looking at a couple of months.

PS Before the rest of you panic, his lady is from NZ not Oz, so needs a medical and police check.......
