You have to take your qualifications to the energy safety board and they decide what to do with you. It can all be done in 2 to 3 months depending on waiting lists for the exams. Yes it was hard but if you can talk to someone who has done it it makes it a lot easier. Let me know when you get here and I will help you through.

Would any of you sparks know what licence I would need?
I am a CNC machine tool service engineer.
Over here we only work our side of the isolator.

So we connect/disconnect transformers, fault find on motors, controls and low volt switching etc. as well as doing all the mechanical fitting work on the machines.

My apprenticeship was mechanical, I have HNC Mech Production with specialism in robotics and ONC Electrical/electronics.
My TRA was classified as Metal Machinist First Class.
Worked in machine tools for 20 years. Never done any "wiring" only machine tool maintenance.
Prefer the electrical/control side over the mechanical.

Cheers

Kevin

sounds like a cross trade one for the service side mech/elec so not too sure about it. maybe someone will be able to help you out in here.
