Don't vote for that idiot Barnett please don't, he has no idea about any of the infrastructure Perth needs, I work in the water industry on a number of large scale projects that he will ditch if he gets in, only to realise his ultra expensive vision of building a pipeline from the Kimberly to Perth.

It's interesting how the vast majority of Australians vote for Labor (and yes, it's American spelling for some reason), and yet all the new British Australians vote for the Liberal party.
If you count the number of votes, rather than number of winning electorates, Labor would win just about everything in the country. It's just that some of the country electorates go to the Liberals, and because there is hardly anyone there, they are massively over-represented in the statistics.
I am not in Perth, but there is no way in the world I would EVER vote Liberal, anywhere. Local or Federal.
Not after their lack of funding for public education led to the closing of toilets in public schools because they were 'health hazards', and the end of language, technology and arts programs because all the money went to new swimming pools and grand pianos for the private schools.
Not after they refused to ratify Kyoto.
Not after they accused us of being 'un-AMERICAN' for not supporting George Bush.
Not with all their elitist bull**** that attracts farmers but put academics off-side.:curse::curse::curse::curse::curse::curse:

I would love to meet him to explain that day light saving does not actually mean we get less of the suns rays.
With people like this to vote for is it any wonder that people couldn't give a rats arse who to vote for.

Water is a pretty big issue right now in WA, if they dont get the planning right now it will have dire consequences. I'd rather trust someone who listens to engineers than some bafoon who thinks he knows more than the Watercorp.

That pipe goes uphill 600kms. Anything can be done, just depends on money.
Is desal plants better option, with it polluting the ocean the air, the massive cost to run them?
