Can / must a non-citizen vote in this one? I know nationally you cannot if you are only resident but must if you are a citizen. Locally anyone can. But how about state level?

The rumour is, Alan Carpenter heard that Worzel was thinking of forming a new party, once he got his citizenship in November, so called an early election for September!!

Let the seat sniffing, canal building, bra strapping Liberals have a go. Cant be any worse than the Labor Party. They couldn't organise a root in a brothel.

According to this you have to be a citizen.
Am I right in thinking Australians (and any other citizens from Commonwealth member nations) can vote in UK elections providing they permanently reside in the UK?

I'm sure they will. I suppose they did bring in daylight saving - although this will be the last year of it - which is to be commended.
I'll vote for the mob that:
Let's me go and buy a DVD/CD/TV at 7:30 on a Tuesday evening.
Cuts taxes.
Flattens Scarborough and starts again.
Allows some highrise developments on the coast. Only some though - we don't want to end up like the Gold Coast.
That keeps developing the f**k out of this city and state. I want to see more high rises in the city and along the river. More railways (including the airport) and roads. More mines and LNG plants. More gas pipelines and a way to bring water down from the Kimberley. A GTL plant to produce diesel from gas. A carbon capture power station. More wind, wave and solar projects. A proper rectangular stadium for football and rugby. More hospitals, prisons and schools.
More of everything really.
Etc.
I'll probably have to spoil my vote.

I want a state government that realises there is more to this place than just the capital city and starts putting money into education and healthcare etc in the country.

No, you have to be a citizen plus "Butsmell" stood down a couple of days ago. The new leader of the Libs is the old leader who lost the last state election - Colin "Farkin'al" Barnett. "Far Canal" - get it?

Re: WA election 6th September
I really wish it wasn't. If it wasn't compulsory I wouldn't vote.
I honestly cannot decide between a party which can't even elect a leader and is so torn by internal politics that it's shambolic or another which is so corrupt and inept that to vote for it would be like selling the crown jewels.
I think I'm voting independent.
