vodafone red sim cards ...help
hi , has any one you was or still is in the uk activated a vodafone red sim card ...ive activated it online no problems BUT when i insert the card it states WRONG CARD :scared:
i have three to activate i purchased the cards from ebay so im wondering if ive been ripped off :rolleyes: dont know or do i need to be in oz before they will work.... any advise would be great thanks kez :) |

Yes they will register with the network in Australia first. However, are your phones unlocked ?

yes the phones are unlocked ..... do you mean we have to be in Australia before they will work sorry i have no idea how it works thanks for your reply kez |

Just another thought some phones even though they are unlocked, by using your security code you can lock the sim to the phone and unless you unlock this feature with your security code ( not pin code, or phone lock code ). Then the phone will say incorrect sim or similar. If you cannot remember the security code then vodaphone will need to do it for you.
The unlocking feature for sims is usually in the security settings folder in your phone menu. Neil |

We had similar problems...it turned out the SIM card had to be enabled for global roaming by Vodafone .....we sent them a long email and they enabled this and gave us a couple of dollars credit so we could receive our registration text with our password in it.

we bought the same ones from ebay but changed to Optus when we got here as its free to call each other if your both on Optus. :D
