There is one in Hobart too, but much of that is just a shell. Haven't been to the Launceston one, but I would imagine it has the same bone chilling feel as you remember its history.

Tried to post this morning but it was throwing a wobbly at me for some reason.

Mole Creek caves are the ones we went to near Lower Crackpot in the north.

And as Dagboy pointed out to me last night when he read my post, we visited the Female Factory in Hobart, not Launceston, my mistake. Yes it was mainly ruins, still a fascinating place anyway & plenty of stuff to see there .
