Wink Visas

We have recently applied for a permanent residency visa under the skilled independant route. I thought that I would check out potential jobs in Perth to get an idea of the terms and conditions and opportunities that may be available. I have now been contacted by a number of the employment agencies offering to sponser me for a temporary working visa until my permanent visa comes through Can I still do this whilst my application is in and running? Has anybody been down this road? It seems like a good idea but I am not entirely sure.

Can anybody offer me some advice or relate there experience.
