After being granted our visa Jan 05 and arriving in Adelaide May 05, we thought that all the stress was over with, it was until one of our friends suddenly announced he wants to move to australia to be with his girlfriend who is moving next year with her parents.
Anyway to cut a long story short this guy has been an electronics craftsman for 10 years he completed his qualification, but for some reason didnt get his certificates. Is there anyway he can be granted a residency visa without his certificate, and only granted on his experience????

My hubby came as plumber, he had city and guilds and over 20 years gas board experience , so he did statutory declarations to say he did plumbing as well but did not actually have the qualification.
We came to designated area also and got a sponsor, hope this helps, Im sure you will get some more info on here. Denise
