Default Visa validation - main applicant only or whole family?

If it should be necessary to validate my visa within a year of geting it (assuming I get it), must ALL the family members (wife and kids) also validate and therefore requiring 4xtickets to Oz and back? Or will it suffice for just the main visa applicant to make the trip?

Yes afraid so, all members must enter the country before the expiry date to validate the visas.

Unless you are ready to move, in which case you needn't make the trip back, you can just book one-way.
