Visa, MODL, whats the process?
Hi All,
We have been considering applying for a TRA assessment as my wife is a hairdresser and on the MODL list. Is the application different and not points as per a normal 136 PR visa? Also, if she is given the visa (and applies for all of us on it) is there a limit of how many hours I can work? The reason I ask is we have heard someone going over as a student has had their husbands hours limited to 20 hours a week. Please clarify what our options are and what is going to be the best way to go. We were planning to go through with me as the main applicant, as I want to travel before the rest of the family to set up house, car, job (for me) etc... Will that be possible if my wife apply's? |

Once the visas are issued they must be validated within 1 year of the medicals / Police checks. The main applicant must enter Australia first, but after that any members (including the main applicant) of your family unit can stay or return to the UK. |

I know that on our application, hubby is the main application on the 136 MODL skilled independant visa, however we ALL have to validate the visa, which for us, all 6 of us going out at the same time. If your wife is on the MODL list, why not just go out on her trade? |
