visa length

Does anyone know the average time it is taking for an independent skilled visa at present ?
Is it still 20 months and does it fluctuate?

Re: visa length

The 20 months is a London 'official' figure, but it seems that most application are
now going through in a few months less than that (15-18 months).

Which visa post are you asking about?

It does seem to be the case and it is good to think that they are beginning to make some inroads on the processing but as we know it can change almost on a weekly basis. Having applied in March 2001 and thought it would take nine months as quoted at the time to be still waiting at 15 months it is frustrating although maybe the end is in sight.

Re: visa length

Having applied onshore for a defacto

visa in June 99 , Given Bridging Visa and waited and waited and

June 2002 contacted for relevant 888's etc and verification of ongoing relationship..

Expecting Temporary Visa this week...Yay

AND Finally PR Visa When 2nd set Federal Police checks are returned 4 to 6 weeks...

Now that has been a Marathon wait. But worth every second as it has given us more
time to appreciate each other and shown us that WE CAN achieve if we work TOGETHER.
