Visa Debit Card

Visa Debit Card
Hi,
Not sure if you know this or not, but HSBC do a Visa debit card which you can link to your existing Online Savings account. It's not mentioned or publicised on their web site, but it definitely exists. It's fee free (as you would expect with HSBC ) and can be used just like a credit card for ordering online, hiring cars etc, just spending your money, not the banks.
There are no residency requirments (unlike credit cards) so, it may be useful if you are on a temporary visa, or struggling to get a credit card sorted out.
If you want one, just pop into a branch or call or email them and they will send the forms out to you.
I hope this is useful to someone.

You would think they would advertise it really, especially since ANZ and westpac do one.
