visa activating
Could you please advise on the following:
What does it mean visa activation? If I enter Australia the first time does it automatically mean that it is activated or I should do anything more.

Yep. If you've got a visa such as a PR one that needs validating within a year, then you just need to come to OZ within the year. You can then leave the same day. Check the date from when the year runs though as it may be from time of meds or police checks.
