Victoria -License theory test - Not required
Hi All,
Received my Vic driving license from Vicroads today - No theory test required.
Rules changed as at 1 Jan 05.

Do you have to change to an aussie licence if you are on a 457 temp visa then?

hi laura,
from what i gather, you are fine on your uk licence as you are on temp visa, its when you are pr visa you must change within 3 months

I cant believe they never advised me of that when I did test in December. I could have waited and would definitely have waited until after 1st Jan (and still been within 3 months of arriving) if I had known. Saved me buying the rules handbook and all the stress!
Husband (jammy bastard) will be well pleased when he hears, as he is back in UK and will be getting vic licence when he returns!
