Default Right choice

We are hoping to move to Melbourne, September time! We have 3 young kids so schooling is an issue. We also want to be close to cinemas etc but not actually in a city environment, we are rural lovers. Is it possible to find a place close to the sea that is commuter distance, which is clean, safe with good schooling....

Any decent books on it because you can end up getting swamped on the Internet and only finding out about tourist info....

We have thought of Dandenong, any other ideas?

I would love to contact anybody that is out there now who could maybe lead us in the right direction.

Please could somebody advise as to kids school ages and what classes they would be in. I keep reading conflicting stories My kids DOB are:- 24th Sept 1996, 1st Jan 1998 and 17th March 2000. (will my youngest start school next year or the one after)
Dandenong would be a very wise choice, as it is within reach of all basic needs and the rents are also reasonable, 150-170 $/week.
You could visit http://www.greaterdandenong.com
for more info.
Happy hunting,

Victoria does rock, I much prefer it to Queensland or NSW even if the weather can be really dreadful I've also been to South Australia but it is too quiet for me!

Wombat,

We are looking at Melbourne as well. I may be visiting soon for a job interview (hopefully).

Kids are 14,12 and 2, so we are very interested in finding the right schools.

I am in touch with a couple of guys in Mel who work for the company that I may be joining. They visited us for 7 weeks recently and provided a lot of useful info on Mel and Vic.

We are currently in Leicester ourselves but this City has had it and it's time to get out.

Cheers,

Scoops
