Yeah 40k is not a bad guess. I have just found a job (3 weeks ago) and I can tell you when I was searching the internet / news papers there was loads on jobs for a motor mechanic. Seems to be a shortage of them here so you should be in with a good chance.

Hi thanks for the replies i dont suppose you have heard of Euro Cartwright (Renault Dealership) in Southport as they have offered me a job when i get to the Gold Coast but i felt it would be a bit premature to ask about the wages.
