Default Validation stamp

Reading another message here has worried me - when we did our validation
trip our visas themselves weren't stamped, another page of our passports
were. We did tick the 'permanently migrating' box on the landing card and
had no hassles at immigration. Have our visas been validated?

And (cheeky) as our visas themselves aren't stamped could be get the
double baggage allowance which some airlines allow for unvalidated visas?

Cheers,

Paul
