Applied for Skilled Independent Visa Feb 2004 - Still waiting!!!!!!!!!!!!
We plan to go out for a validation trip Easter 2005 - Come back home and sell house (it is for sale as we speak but little interest so far) - can we go and live in Australia -- and say house takes 1 - 2 years to sell would the sale proceeds be taxable when transfering over to Aus. If the proceeds are taxable what would be the cut off date of there being no tax implications.
