Check out this website. My personal recommendation is the Ascot Quays. Great standard of accommodation. Has resturant and licenced bar incase you don't feel like cooking. Reception should be able to help you locate bike hire places or the local tourist information people. Enjoy your trip.

Thanks Kiwi......

Will look when I have more time!

Have a nagging doubt that:

a) you are spinning me a fast one after our recent communication!

or

b) you are trying to disprove my theory on Kiwis!

Ascot Quays Apartments are 2 mins from the airport. Also found a bike hire site for you to look at.

LOL. I'm just a helpful and surprising wee soul by nature. Besides you're coming a long way and paying serious money to get here, you don't need for your trip to turn to shite.

$60?? Basic brands like Huffy generally sell at Kmart for $169/$199 and you have to transport and put them together.

People might only want to hire a bike(s) for a few hours on maybe 1 or 2 days of their stay. I'm pretty sure Fluffy is only doing a reccie at this stage so probably doesn't want to buy them then have the hassle of selling them later.

You are both welcome to call in for a shower and a brew if you're in the swan valley area (just make sure you don't leave wet towels on the floor!)

Good luck with your trip.

Bought a Huffy for $99 in Kmart last xmas. Construction involved putting the saddle on and clipping the wheels in. That said, it was a pretty shite bike (didn't expect anything else for $99 though) - served its purpose.

Right, firstly, thanx again for the recommendation......HOWEVER!

I feel I made it rather obvious that we are travelling on a budget....FFS wicked campers??????

You recommend a hotel costing nearly $200 a night, when all we want is a bed for a few hours as we land at Midnight on a Sunday!!!

Hmmmmm, Gee - thanx for your help!

Swan Valley is on our list of places to visit!!!

No soggy towels from us, we like to drip dry naked on other peoples verandas in front of all their neighbours!!

Thanx Hutch, will deffo look into that....much cheaper than we were quoted to hire for a fortnight!!

Not arsed about selling them, so will toss em out of the kampa window on the way to the airport for some expat chavs to pick up and sell to their mates!!
