Using Nokia mobile phones in Perth

Can you use UK Nokia phones in Perth? If so what do you have to do to them?

Yes, 900Mhz and 1800Mhz GSM phones will work fine in any Australian city - forget about outside the cities though as it's not worth the companies while to have coverage out in the middle of nowhere.

Nokia phones do indeed work and I advise taking it with you especially if your stay is not likely to be permanent. Aussie mobile phone contracts are rubbish, locking you in for 2 years. Therefore, it might be in your interest to take your phone and buy a Pay-As-You-Go sim for about $25.
