Default Used cars - Buying and running

I know we've had some good info recently on this, but has anyone got a list of things I should be looking at regarding private car buying in Queensland?

Things like Rego(still not sure what this is - is it like our car tax)?and how much is it?
RWC - I understand this is similar to our MOT but not sure if it is compulsary and if so from when?
If you pay GST tax on a private sale, what is the percentage?

Does anyone think we'll have any problems getting insurance if we are staying temporary in a caravan site?

once again all help appreciated

Alex

Hi Paul

Are you sure you don't pay GST on a private car sale?

I must admit it does seem strange, but I've had 2 people telling me that you do - Badgersmount and Mr mover.
