Used car websites - Sydney
Hi all,
I will need to buy a used car when I arrive in Sydney. Any tips on websites I could review in advance, to get an understanding of what I can expect for my budget. I would be looking to go to a dealer rather than buying private.

it can work out 20% to 30% cheaper than a yard/dealer.

Speaking of cars, I went to look at an Audi the other day. The RRP was $43,000 and the on the road cost was $54,000!! Put me right off it did.

Try these guys www.travelwheels.com.au - (both poms, living in OZ for over 10 years) they sell cars and campervans to backpackers/travellers and offer a 12month unlimited kms warranty on the engine and gearbox. Another reason why we used them was due to the buyback guarantee they offered.
When we moved to Sydney we bought a car and picked it up straight away from near the airport, and we had wheels right from the start of our trip which made life easier.
After 3 months sold it back to travelwheels via the buyback scheme and this worked out cheaper than renting for a few months.
This gave us the chance to find something without rushing and we ended up buying something from www.gumtree.com.au, and it was exactly what we wanted rather than rushing into buying something just to get some wheels!
