In the interests of research for the next time it's asked, could you let us know what happens? ;)

She phoned Brissy airport and asked them what would happen....they advised them to take photocopies of their citizenship certificates and all would be fine........however Im not so sure it will be that simple

OK
I went back to UK on my UK passport - and I didn't realise that my Perm visa had been cancelled as my citizenship ceremony had taken place.

I was stopped at Sydney airport and asked if I had become a citizen. I replied yes why? because your visa has been cancelled. I was asked to produce my Oz passport - which I had applied for but didn't have with me as it came after I had departed.

I was let through after they did a little bit of checking up - no dramas

Re: URGET HELP REQUIRED

Proof of Citizenship (papers) or an ID number is normally sufficient in these circumstances or calling Immigration and informing them of your flight details (re-entry) and ID and that will suffice also - get a name and reference number if you can.

Pollyana : wanted to say how transparent and balanced your interview came across - I thought you were excellent and very honest in your responses to the questions, which gave a great perspective on the perception when moving to Australia - well done !

Regards

Chris
