Unlocking mobile phone

 I am having a hard time trying to unlock my mobile. It's a sony ericcson T610 and thought I had it unlocked over in England. It was my husbands' phone and he was on a contract, so I took it and got it unlocked and put my pre paid vodafone card in it. When I come over here and got an australian vodafone pre paid it is now saying the phone is locked. So I don't know if they may have just unlocked it for English sim cards, but not world wide... I've been trying to find an internet site to unlock it for over here but they are all for Nokias - anyone able to shed some light on this?
Thanks

Where are you located, if in Perth take it to a Mod shop, or a back street type of mobile phone shop they will probably do it for you for about $15.00.

When I bought my latest mobi it wasn't configured to any particular network. But once I put the sim card in it locks it to that network. It sounds like you had it unlocked then locked it again when you put your vodafone PAYG sim card in.

Are there any good unlocking shops in Perth?

This website http://www.unlockitnow.com/products/...products_id=79 says you need a cable to do unlocking remotely.

Hi

Had a good scout around on Google and it appears that you will need PC software and a data cable to unlock this phone.
