unfurnished rentals
How unfurnished are they? Movin to gold coast (prob pac pines) and not sure whether it will have washing machine, fridge, bbq etc
Also contents insurance? Any reccommended companies or rough quotes for 3 bed house? Any info would be good Cheers |
Re: unfurnished rentals
It will probably just have the cooker. Ours has a fridge freezer but I got the impression that is not the norm.

Re: unfurnished rentals
Thanks for the responses! Trying to work out if it is worth shipping our fridge, washing machine etc but since our container will be about 8weeks behind us and we will need stuff like that asap!!
Was thinking that it will prob make more sense to sell them in the UK and budget for buying new ones on arrival....if that sounds like a daft  idea open to suggestions?! Cheers! Richard |

Richard We bought a cheapish smallish fridge-freezer which became our beer fridge when the real one arrived. You can also hire white goods to put you on. You probably won't need a tumble dryer as a matter of urgency, but I can see how a washing machine would be more problematic but the renting option could be your solution. (We also had a launderette near us but that may not be appropriate/applicable for your situation/location) Some people also send out their belongings before they leave the UK as its generally easier to cadge things off friends/relatives before you go, which lessens the impact of not having your furniture. |

No - take them with you unless you are particularly tight on space in your container. Definitely take the fridge - you can never have enough fridges :)

Would be good to send our stuff ahead of us, but I think the move is gonna end up being a little quicker than planned so maybe able to send it 4weeks in advance and we r getting told around the 12week mark at the moment. |
