SAME OLD QUESTIONS !! BET UV HEARD THEM 1000 TIMES BUT DO OUR TV,S nd elec appliances work ok in oz.
sorry to bore every1 with the same old questions.

We use 240v too so, yes, your electrical appliances will work. Just make sure you bring plenty of extension leads so you don't need to change too many plugs !

As for TV's we only needed to add a digi freeview box for them to work

Yep, electricity is the same 240v, but plugs are different and no earth wire (that I know of).

TVs will work fine if you can change the System to Pal B/G (it's set to Pal I for the UK, use the screen menu or chek the manual). If you can't change it there are workarounds using an Aussie VCR or Digi set top box.

VCRs will play, but the in-built tuner is UK, so you probably won't be able to record.

All the above applies to normal analogue TV - I've no experience of digital.

There is a brilliant book by www.pomsdownunder.com that have EVERYTHING in it about what to take that works what doesn't and LOADS of useful info. Nothing like it in the shops. Think it's £15 plus P&P. Enjoy it is SO useful...
