Uk savings account for daughter
My in laws want to set up a UK savings account for our daughter but because she's deemed non resident they're having issues. Anyone know any ways around this or alternative means by which they set something like that up for her in the UK? Thanks

When I was non-resident I found the Islamic Bank of Britain okay for opening an account. (Seriously !) See their website. Offices in London and the Midlands.

Could they keep it in their names? It is pretty hard to open up accounts once you ave made the move.

I guess they could set it up in their name. Sounds like there may not be an alternative. Not sure about the Islamic bank lol, wouldn't that deliver 0% interest as I thought interest didn't fit their religious beliefs!

Set one up here in Australia and they can use tranzfers to make regular payments. Better interest rate here too.
