UK Qualifications
I have just sent my qualifications to the TRA. Is there a way to get all of my trade quals transfered to the Australian equivalent or are UK qualifications recognised/excepted in Aus? Any help/info will be appreciated as I am right at the start of my visa process.

Can only help from a Painting/Decorating point of view. If your qualifications are appropriate then the TRA will accept you.
But, as a Painter and Decorator I have had to sit two exams over here to be able to gain an Australian Registration number. This will allow me to be self-employed. If you want to work for someone else then all you will need is an Australian TFN (Tax File Number) and an ABN (Australian Business Number). There are a few posts floating about at the moment regarding this, so suggest you also do a search.
All the best.
