UK Mobile Number - PAC Transfer
Hi all!
Is it possible to transfer my UK mobile number (using a PAC code) to an Australian provider? I've looked around, but it seems everybody is talking about transfering actual contracts, not mobile phone numbers. I've had my number for 15years, and it seems a shame to change it, just because i'm emigrating! Thanks! :) |

Keep it on a payg UK sim, you never know when you might need it and, no, you can't transfer contracts or numbers, it's a foreign country!

Re: UK Mobile Number - PAC Transfer
If you have one, you could port your landline number to a UK voip supplier. You can use the service from a cable or dsl connection, as well as a 3g one.
I have UK and US landline numbers that ring in my house in Melbourne. I also use an Aus voip provider to ring UK landlines for 8c (2 hours). Don't believe you can port a mobile number in the UK. EDIT: You could use a GSM gateway if you want to keep your mobile number. Haven't done this. Need a friend to let you have internet connection in the UK. |

Thanks all, may transfer it to a UK PAYG sim, and save it for a rainy day!
