Here is the ozlotto site (some restrictions dependent on which state you're in).

http://www.ozlotteries.com/index.php

If you win on the UK lotto and you are an Oz tax resident then you have to share your good fortune with the ATO.

Good luck

thanks for all the useful info.....decided to pay for my UK lotto tickets by credit card......the UK national lottery site seemed quite clear that you have to be a uk resident.

I decided to go with www.biglottoprofits.co.uk

you can play in any region of any country.....wicked!

When I was on holiday in Brisbane a year ago we bought a lotto ticket - and Won!!!!!! Can't remember how many $ now but it was enough for a nice meal out and an expensive silver, solid choker necklace and pendant!!!!! We were about to go home and were trying to spend all our $ yet we won more!!!!!!

I will def be playing when I get there! Also what about the pokies too!? - we played them in this cafe place and again I started with $1 and couldn't get rid of it - I just kept winning more and more and walked away with a small profit each time yet my hubbie lost and $1's he put in!!!!!

They do say Australia is full of gambling addicts and I could see why!!!!!

"Windfall gains from winning a prize in a lottery or in a competition are generally non-assessable"

But "Premium Bond" winnings are classed as Investment-related lotteries.
and these must be included as assessable income on your tax return.
