Default UK Graduate Nurse Information Please

Hi all, im just trying to establish the visa options that my wife Debbie may/may not be offered upon application for a graduate nurse/transition to practice placement, (if her application should be successful).
Do the visa options vary depending upon whether you apply direct to the hospital or whether you choose to go with an agency who may run the graduate nursing placement scheme on behalf of state/hospital, or is the outcome going to be the same whatever route she takes ?
Im guessing the outcome is likely to be a 457 long term temporary visa???
Unless of course you may know different !!

Also does anyone know if any/all states are still taking on UK graduate nurses (is the need /requirement still there)

Is anyone else in a similar position?..............is it still as likely that you can be sponsored by your employer for permanent residency after 2 years ? or are the hospitals/states tightening up on this particular route to becoming resident?

Thanks

Thanks for that Wilson01,

I see that you are well on your way, re; migrating, well done. I see you have a job offer, fantastic, where in Queensland are you looking at? we are hoping (fingers crossed) to get in around Robina, Gold Coast. Did you contact the hospital yourself or choose an agency, also did they conduct a telephone interview, how was it ?

Can i ask re; IELTS test, how long is it valid for?, also if you fail to get required level/score in one of the criteria, do you get a chance to just retake that one part of the paper again until you are successful or do you have to keep resitting the whole test everytime ?

How hard was it ? (to gain a 7.00 in each paper), I think my wife Debbie is fearing that more than her final exams.

Sorry for all the questions, it just seems like so many things to do and so little time to do them in as Debbie will have to apply in may/june/july this year to try and secure an interview/placement for mid 2011.
Thank you once again.
