UK car hire for holiday- Brits please help
 

Can anyone recommend good value car hire companies in Yorkshire? We need a car for a month (July) and the prices we've seen are scary. Can get to Pontefract, Wakefield, Doncaster, Barnsley area. Also does anyone know if you can take rentals over to France?

Going through kayak.com gives Thrifty in Leeds a Clio for a tenner a day, can be taken to France with advance notice. Can't imagine it gets much cheaper than that.

We're flying into Manchester, hopefully someone from our family will be able to pick us up. Gatwick is a bit far!
