Question UK to AUS Qualifications

Hi there

I have just started my Level 4 HNC in Automation and controls apprenticeship. The course is 3 years long and ill be gaining on site experience a long side this.I then plan to gain a year or two extra experience after while i look at a move to Australia Perth to be exact.

I was wondering if my qualification will be recognized and also to see if any other Automation Engineers had made the move from the UK to AUS and what their experiences were.

A HNC is equivalent to a Diploma over here.

I moved on recognition of electrical skills - Electrician (special class). I had an indentured apprenticeship as an electrician in addition to ONC / HNC. As an electrician, there is a lot of hoops to jump through.

If you are hoping to move as an Engineer, you will need a degree.
