Default Uk Appliances to Oz

Hi"

Just wondering if any of you have taken over a Uk purchased, built in oven (electric) and hob, to Oz? and if so any problems with connection/use etc. (We know any UK warranty would be void).

The ones we like are very expensive over there, so we thought to take them with us as can get much cheaper deal over here.

any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

No idea about the appliances but you 2 will be glad to hear the weather has now improved over here. Last week we had heavy rain for a constant 4 days.

Blue skies, no clouds and nice and warm today :-)

Sounds like a lot of hassle to me? Unless you've bought your own home already and have given the dimensions of the oven/hob to the builder so he can fit it in the kitchen?! But I thought that most houses came with a fitted oven/hob anyway. Personally I wouldn't bother... there's enough stuff to sort out when you get here without worrying about your oven/hob... just buy a barbie!!!
