UK 1200 bucks
Not sure how many seats there are, but malaysian seem to be doing 1200 odd for some dates in aug sep oct and nov.
No use to me as no school holiday dates of course, did try one other date just for me, no seats.
However someone might find it useful.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm hoping with the pull back in the oil price we might get some cheaper fares soon.

Re: UK 1200 bucks
I was looking the other day, Qantas FF 128,000 points plus almost $900 in taxes so this is VV good.
Pity these deals dont suit many with kids in school terms.

Yeah, I saw that post. Can't believe the costs this year. Approx 5 grand more expensive than it was last year for my family of 5 to go back to the UK. I'm going to have to postpone my trip this year by the looks of it.

Rats!
Just forked out $13k for 6 of us to go Sep - Oct. I should have looked around this time but with two little kids just wanted to get it over and done with.

Dont feel too bad, you probably wouldnt have found 6 seats on the same flight anyway.
I have lost count of how many specials we dipped out on because we wanted 5 seats not just one or two.

It was that price for the peak rush which is when we go,
We haveto spend onenight in korea but im happy with that,
We,ll hit the markets and be less jet lagged with the break

Re: UK 1200 bucks
I've got to be in the UK for a party on 30th July.
The cheapest return flight I can find is $1800 through Royal Brunei. I'd rather go through a QFF partner (like Qantas or Cathay) to get the points, or if not then go through someone like Singapore and pay a bit extra. The only thing is that the choice I have is $1800 through Royal Brunei or the more "Premium" airlines for $2500. Nothing in between it seems.
So here's a question for those who are more switched onto flight fares. I will be flying by myself, so I can be quite flexible on the dates (within a week). My theory is that that period would be a busy peak time for UK leg flights, however, I would think that the other legs of those flights would be less busy as it is not really a busy time for Aussie travelling. Now if my assumptions are correct then I am thinking that I am better off waiting it out and sniping a good deal at short notice.
Is my thinking flawed?
