Default Two Week Recce of Adelaide - Any Tips Please

My husband i Steve is travelling from to Adelaide in March for two weeks in order to have a quick recce of the city to see if it's the right place for us to emigrate to.

Steve has pre booked his first three nights stay at a hotel close to the airport. After this he will hire a car and look for further accomodation. Has anyone any tips as to where to stay? He would prefer somewhere on the coast that is not to far away from Adelaide.

Many thanks
Nathalie

I think Glenelg has a lot of appeal as Podgy Possum makes clear! Good beach, plenty of shops and just a short tram ride from the city centre. There's some other decent beaches such as Henley but there's not much more to these areas. However, it's all down to what you like personally of course.

The sunsets are fantastic by the way!

Finally, we've found someone that lives near to where we want to live!
Glenelg is gorgeous. We went in September and would love to live there.
Really enjoyed the tram ride into City Centre.
Port Noarlunga was nice too.

Try Europcar as they seem the cheapest and best.
