Default Truckers strike 27th July????

Has anyone else heard about this?? Lady down the road said she heard it on the radio (news) that they've agreed dates to strike, it'll be from the 27th July for 2 weeks. 'If' its true and goes ahead then australia really will come to a standstill. I don't want to rush out and buy groceries and petrol just yet incase its a complete load of tosh!

Ohh yes think I had teachers on the mind as the youngest was told not to bother going to school on 27th, thought it might be a strike, probably being last day of term its another clean up day, besides thats june not july.

Note to self: Read posts more carefully or get eye test!

Mate, you'll be right! It does get easier, I promise!

Within two weeks of starting my first job I was able to do all the gear changes without using the clutch - only use that for pulling away and stopping now!

Bloody backward Aussies though - just don't understand their aversion to synchro gearboxes! :curse:

Apparently they will be having yet another go slow in Brisbane CBD tomorrow as well.....outside of peak time I think but still maybe best avoided if you're driving.
