Truck driving licence
Hi, here's another tester for you all.
I have a UK articulated truck licence, 44tonnes gross, probably the equivalent to the MC licence here, which expired in October 2004.
Is it possible to have that licence renewed here in Australia so I can get back on the road.
It ran out in the UK as you have to have a medical at 45 to have it renewed and I didn't think I'd use it again, but I want to get a trucking job so hence the thread.
Thanks in advance...............JW

There was a thread a little while back about it; the rules will vary from state to state as usual of course

This is something I would like to know as well (although my HGV hasn't expired), I don't really want to drive trucks over in OZ but it would be something to fall back on if things don't work out

Hi there, our hgv licences are not recognised over in Australia as theirs are not in ours, so I think you will find that you will have to retake your test again anyway, and I believe a theory test, sorry for the bad news, rangersman

No, but the pc is on in the corner of the room while I'm pottering round doing other stuff, so I tend to keep an eye on it!
