travelling to Thailand from AUS
Just a quick question guys i would be traveling to Thailand from AUS and i have a tablet i take everyday.
Can i take it with me.Is this allowed?

Depends on what the tablet is. If you take morphine or diazepam or any narcotic you likely can't take it. If you take something innoculous like blood pressure meds or iron tablets then no problem.

I have never been to either Aus or Thailand but I would have thought that its the same as in the uk that as long as its a prescribed medications you can get a letter from your GP which stipulates the need for the medication. Also keep the tablets in the original box with the info slip inside.

As others have said, probably depends on what the medication contains. We spent a couple of weeks in Thailand on the way home to Aus four months ago and they didn't actually check our bags on the way into the country. They put us through the express queue because all our cards were filled in and we had three kids in tow. Was very quick and they waved us through the xray area, didn't have to put the bags through and straight to our hire car.
