Travel Inurance for visit to Uk
Do I need travel insurance to visit UK on holiday. I mean are we still entitiled to NHS treatment free as British Citizens. If so apart from having stuff nicked is there any need.

The health angle, public liability angle, car hire excess angle that type of thing. Suppose you get ill en route, it happens and then medical bills are in the tens of thousands, UK or OZ health systems are not going to cover it.
Suppose thats what its for, small risk can send you broke if it happens.
That said we just checked out a family policy most are around $500 a family for 4 weeks, another thing that costs the bloody earth here. If anyones found reasonable priced insurance post it here!! Ta

Try this link. Some reasonable prices but check the small print for what's covered. Some of the budget ones cover practically nothing.......!

paying for your trip by credit card may give you cover. our commonwealth gold card gives us enough. we pay a fee of around $100 for the card for this very reason.
