Travel Insurance when emigrating on CPV??
We were just wondering what others have done for travel insurance when emigrating to AUstralia? Normally we have an annual travel insurance with Columbus, but clearly that is based on our UK address which we will no longer have.
Have others just insured for the flight out to Australia, if so who have you used?

Which airline are you travelling with? we used Thai Air as they gave us an enhanced Baggage allowance as we were entering Australia on a permanent residency visa which we were about to validate for the first time.
Good Luck!

Thanks for that.
We are flying Singapore Airlines and have used "Kris Flyer Points" to upgrade to Business....so get the Business allowance. We asked them for extra baggage and sent them all the confirmations they requested and they have given us another........wait for it.....5kg each.

Re: Travel Insurance when emigrating on CPV??
I am also currently looking for travel insurance.
www.duinsure.com offer one way travel insurance, but as they are primarily targeted at backpackers their benefits seem very low ie £20£ for 12 hour delay, £15 per day hospital payout, £200 per each item of luggage lost, and this is from their most comprehensive policy. Their premiums, however, are also low, only £30 for a couple for 5 days.
Any other suggestions for one way travel insurance?

We're emigrating on a 176 visa but travelling a bit en-route. Can anyone recommend a good value one-way travel insurance?
