The kids are covered as dependents on my policy, cost $117 for 3 weeks.

If you click for the single cover on their website you can add kids as dependents. It's cheaper than the family cover. It looks fairly comprehensive so fingers crossed!

Travel insurance is usually free from your credit card if you pay for travel with it.

Usually it is better cover than the ones you would buy from the travel agents, mine covers for single trips up to 6 months away at a time.
