Hello Folks,

My mom is coming to visit me to Australia from India. I got some questions regarding travel insurance and I hope you guys could help me out with this..

-> Which company gives good travel insurance ?

-> Is it good to get insurance from India or from Australian company ie Medibank, HCF etc..

-> What type of insurance does she require ?

If she is here on holiday she should get normal travel insurance from a company within her home country. An Australian company will not cover a foreign national here on holiday for repatriation back to India.

If she is arriving as a resident that thats a different matter and you need to be more specific. Medical insurance, hospital only, extras. life insurance ??
