Travel Insurance
Hi,
We (2 adults and 3 children) travel Dublin -> Melbourne (one-way tickets) on 20th April. We are in holiday accommodation for 5 weeks so we give ourselves good time to find somewhere more permanent.
I presume it is advisable to get travel insurance but I'm not sure about the legalities of it. This might be a silly question but, is travel insurance still valid if you are travelling on one-way fares? Is there any particular cover I should be looking for? Any advise on who gives competitive rates?
Thanks
Gavin

Yes, I've found a couple of Insurers who will do one way and then around a week in the new destination.
Does anyone know if I can get short term contents Insurance for the serviced apartment I'll be in until I get a long term rental? Any recommendations?

Re: Travel Insurance
Go Walkabout did do a policy that covered you for 15 days after arrival which is more than handy. I would imagine that if you phone around explain you're in short term and will be moving to a different address as soon as possible they'll cover your contents as they won't change, just the address will. Then once you've got a house full of furniture you can change the amount covered.
